Recycled used printmakers' tarlatan, felted onto Felbi merino batt. Recycled string. Felted and stitched.
My work invites the movement of God within the melding of felted textiles, often, as here, made from recycled printmaker's cloths, replete with marks from imprints past. The hands of two creators thus meet at the invitation of a third.
In these pieces, I hope to show a way of out of the seeming mess we have made of things; to show that art is possible from our detritus, if we allow God to dance with us. The result is a spiritual landscape - an echo of our "real" world - the true ground from which we all are formed.
