In this piece, I have extended the sense of a spiritual relationship to landscape back to the human body itself, which seemingly becomes land. The skin was our first canvas and for many continues to be so today. I find this simplicity inspiring and something which links all human societies.
Here two lino-cuts have been used, linked together to form new and unexpected imagery. The fabric for "Tattoo Everything" was originally the "mop cloth" for another piece, ensuring that excess paint was not wasted. The piece was then felted and stitched before being applied to a silk organza backing.
